Well the Sixers are "ripe" as in they stink.
And with all of these runmors involving Iguodala you have to figure something is going to happen. I have a gut feeling that this team is going to be down for a very long time. Stefanski is in a position to really set the franchise back. ...and why again did we sign AI? Comments (4)
Just to clarify, I think trading Iguodala for expirings (without getting a comparably talented young player in return) would be a bad move. If paired with Brand? Then I'm open to listening. Cleveland does have the expirings to potential take on both, but my gut tells me if the Sixers and Cavaliers end up having serious discussions, Cleveland's not taking on Elton Brand (and his contract).

The reason I wouldn't mind trading Iggy for expirings is because it would pretty much guarantee us nice lottery picks for a couple years. The eventual cap space is just a bonus.
I don't even care about the money right now. We're so far away from contending, that by the time we're ready to contend we're either going to have cap space or the money is going to be tied up in completely different players. I just want to take that step back and have a few years of high draft picks. I'd rather be an expansion team than be what we are now. Comment (1)
I don't know. I'm all for blowing it up, but if you keep Brand then it still puts you under some cap limitations while you are rebuilding. It pretty much guarantees a very long rebuilding process- which may be inevitable either way.

Eddie Jordan's my "ping pong ball generator"

And they finally got rid of the Andre "the ping pong ball killer" Miller.
Look at the record 35 games pre and post Miller. And they were .500 while he was here. Comments (4)
